People’s Service Society Palakkad (PSSP) founded by Mar Joseph Irimpen, Bishop of Palakkad in 1978 symbolizes the social concern of the diocese of Palakkad and attempts to incarnate social justice into the structures of the society. PSSP is a Registered Charitable Organization engaged in the process of empowering the poor and the marginalized. It has been struggling with the poor and marginalized for the realization of social justice and the common good. As the very name signifies, it is people oriented, and is working through participatory process in planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating developmental activities.
