His Excellency Rt. Rev. Dr. Selvister Ponnumuthan, Bishop of Punalur inaugurated the state level Campaign against hunger and disease 2022 initiated by Caritas India and Kerala Social Service Forum in collaboration with Punalur Socia Service Society, at St. Mary’s Cathedral, Punalur on 6th March 2022 during the Holy Mass.
He released the campaign poster and handed over the Lenten contribution of Punalur diocese for 2021 to Mr. Abeesh Antony, State Officer, Caritas India. His Excellency received the Lenten contributions from representatives of different parishes and they were given a fruit sapling.
He also inaugurated the signature campaign. Fr. Jacob Mavunkal, Director, KSSF inaugurated the green campaign by distributing the Vegetable seed kits with a leaflet on environment protection to all who participated in the program.
